Our website, www.moid.gr, strictly adheres to the principles of personal data protection as outlined by International and European law that regulates issues related to e-commerce (Directive 2000/31/EC, Presidential Decree 131/2003), as well as the Consumer Protection Act (Law 2251/1994), which regulates issues related to distance selling, and the relevant provisions of Greek law (Law 2472/1997) for the protection of individuals and the protection of personal data, as amended by the decisions of the President of the Personal Data Protection Authority, PD 207/1998, 79/2000, Article 8 of Law 2819/2000, and European law with Directives 95/46/EC and 97/66/EC. We explicitly declare that we will not make any improper use of your personal data and will not disclose, publish, sell, lease, or exchange your personal information and the data you submit to any third party. Your personal data will be permanently deleted upon request and will not be shared with anyone under any circumstances. By submitting material to our server, you agree that the material does not contain any false, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate content for use and publication.

 

PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING

To conduct any transaction through the online store and place an order for the company's products, certain personal information from the customer will be requested.

What data is collected in the online store?

When placing an order, identification and contact data such as the following will be requested:

  • Full name
  • Billing address (if different from the shipping address)
  • Shipping address
  • Contact phone number (mobile and/or landline)
  • Email address (optional for guest customers/mandatory for customers with an account in the online store)

The company processes customers' data in compliance with Article 7A, paragraph 1(b) of Law 2472/1997, for the purpose of fulfilling the order placed by each customer, and will not be disclosed, published, or sold to third parties unless the procedure specified by law for lifting confidentiality (Law 2225/1994) is initiated, or any obligations arising from the national implementation of Directive 24/2006.

 

RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA

A) Authorized employees of the online store are responsible for executing and invoicing the customer's order, as well as fulfilling any obligations arising from the contract between the customer and the online store.

B) The online store cooperates with payment service providers and transport companies (such as banks, transport companies, and courier services, etc.) necessary for conducting business activities, securing data, and serving users of the online store.

Payment service providers have access to customers' personal order data as needed for the operation of their services.

Service providers are required to use personal data in accordance with this personal data protection statement and the personal data protection laws of Greek legislation.

The credit card information used by customers is NOT STORED on the online store's platform.

The online store collaborates with courier companies to handle and deliver electronic orders to its customers.

Courier service providers have access to customers' personal order data as needed for the operation of their services.

Courier service providers are required to use personal data in accordance with this personal data protection statement and the personal data protection laws of Greek legislation.

The online store uses the customer information provided during the electronic order process so that its staff can contact the customer regarding:

  • The delivery of the order to the shipping address
  • For customer confirmation and identification
  • For processing/deleting the electronic order due to product shortages
  • To inform about new products
  • To inform about special offers from www.moid.gr
  • For receiving gifts after a contest draw

You have the option to choose whether to receive such communications from the online store by sending your request via email to info@moid.gr.

Personal data provided by the customer means that they consent to this data being used by the online store's staff for the reasons mentioned above.

The online store requires its employees and the website's technical staff to provide its users- customers with the level of security outlined in this Personal Data Protection Statement.

In no other case can the online store share your personal information with others without the prior consent of the customer unless required by legal means.

Please note that under certain conditions, it is permitted or required by law or based on a court decision, to collect, use, and disclose your personal data collected online without your prior consent, for example, in the case of a request from judicial authorities.

The personal data declared by the customer in the online store is used exclusively by it or its affiliated businesses to support, promote, and execute the transactional relationship.

The COMPANY retains electronic order data for tax purposes in accordance with the applicable tax law. Customer data is entered into the information system in accordance with applicable law, including provisions related to data security, confidentiality, and the principle of lawful processing.

Stored data may be disclosed to competent judicial, police, and other administrative authorities upon their legal request and in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.

The customer has, within the framework of telecommunications privacy legislation, the right to information and objection as provided by Articles 11 to 13 of Law 2472/1997.

By providing your consent through this statement, you explicitly agree to the collection and processing of your personal data, which is necessary for us to deliver our services. Please note that you have the right to revoke or modify your consent at any time in accordance with Article 2, paragraph 1(a) of Law 2472/1997 and Article 7 of Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR). We reserve the right to change the terms of personal data protection without notice at any time, in
accordance with the applicable regulatory framework.

The online store www.moid.gr retains personal data for as long as the customer remains active. If there is no activity or transactions with our store, the data is retained for a period of five (5) years. Data clearance is conducted every January, regardless of when the customer's personal data was initially collected.

www.moid.gr will not disclose a customer's email address or other personal data for advertising or other promotional or communication purposes without their explicit consent in accordance with the conditions set out by GDPR.

We would like to inform you that, to better understand your preferences and provide improved services and personalized recommendations for products that match your interests, we work with the following partners:

  • Google for personalized and targeted marketing (remarketing)
  • Facebook for personalized and targeted marketing (remarketing)

www.moid.gr declares that during the retention of these data/personal information and our electronic communication, it uses them lawfully, taking the necessary security and confidentiality measures. Specifically, we take all appropriate and effective organizational and technical measures for data security and protection from accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, prohibited dissemination or access, and any other form of unlawful processing, such as access control to personal data, security of locations where physical personal data files are stored, destruction of all documents containing personal data to prevent the retrieval of any information, while the network is protected by Firewall and NAT, data encryption, and controlled access by each user with a different Username - Password and SSL/TLS certificate from LetsEncrypt.

However, www.moid.gr does not guarantee the security of data transmitted over networks to the extent that this protection is not achieved by taking appropriate security measures imposed by law, and it is not liable for any direct, indirect, positive, consequential, material, or non-material damage that the user may suffer from accessing the internet.

Whenever you choose, either through the online ordering process or through the telephone ordering process, to provide us with your email address or/and your mobile phone number or any other personal data, you also choose to grant and retain your personal data by us. We want you to know that www.moid.gr will never use your personal data for purposes other than those mentioned in this document. Your personal data is stored at www.moid.gr, and we aim to ensure
that it serves your interests and respects your individuality and freedom of choice.

Every user has the right to request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data or restriction of processing related to the data subject, as well as the right to object to processing and file a complaint with a supervisory authority (as defined in Articles 13 to 20 of Regulation 679/2016 GDPR).

Every user has the right to request the portability of their personal data, as provided by Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). If you wish to exercise this right or any other rights related to your personal data, you can contact the designated Data Protection Officer listed below.

Every user has also the right to withdraw their consent at any time by sending an email to the Personal Data Processing Officer (Article 2 para. 1a of Law 2472/1997 and Article 7 of Regulation 679/2016 GDPR).

For any disputes that may arise between customers or between customers and third parties due to messages, data, information, or details exchanged through www.moid.gr, the website declares that any lifting of the customer's telecommunications privacy is permitted only if and to the extent that www.moid.gr is required to fulfill its obligations in accordance with the applicable law.

It is expressly agreed that the above terms are governed by Greek Law, the decisions of the established State bodies applicable to electronic communications transactions, and the relevant provisions in force at any given time. It is also expressly agreed that any disputes that may arise from the application of these terms and the general use of our store, if not resolved amicably, fall under the jurisdiction of the Courts of Athens.

Automatically Recorded Information

The web server of www.moid.gr, based on its design specification and according to the accepted standards on the internet, automatically records certain information. The reasons for recording are related to:
